For the third time since 2022, we had the pleasure of participating in and sponsoring an ELIA (European League of Institutes of the Arts) event. This year we attended the Biennial Conference, hosted on the beautiful campus of NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan.

The conference brought together professionals from higher arts education across Europe and beyond to share knowledge, insights and projects, and to explore themes like artistic intelligence.

For ASIMUT, this event was an invaluable opportunity to connect with the design, architecture and visual arts (DAVA) community – an exciting new focus area for us. With a growing number of exceptional DAVA schools already using ASIMUT, we are eager to deepen our understanding of their unique needs and develop solutions tailored to their requirements. Four of the six supporting members of ELIA use ASIMUT.

Silvia Bortolotto, who has a particular focus on the DAVA area within the ASIMUT team, represented us at the conference. She shares:

Participating in these events is always a great opportunity for me to connect more closely with the schools we work with. It’s truly inspiring to see deans, staff and teachers from the academies engaging in sessions where they challenge themselves, learn from one another and gather feedback on projects – all with the goal of improving their schools and providing new opportunities for students in these challenging times. ELIA provides a fantastic platform for schools to connect and grow in a resilient way. It’s an honor to work with them and to receive direct feedback and data to keep improving ASIMUT!

If your school is part of the arts education community, we can’t recommend the ELIA conference enough. It’s a unique forum for networking, learning and fostering collaboration between institutions, and we always leave inspired by the discussions and connections made there.

ELIA did an outstanding job organizing such an impactful event!

In ASIMUT, we remain committed to working with and for arts academies, continually enhancing the system to help administrators manage complex planning tasks and giving them time to focus on inspiring projects – like the ones shared at the ELIA Biennial Conference.

Looking ahead, our upcoming User Group Meeting (March 20–21) will include a dedicated session for DAVA schools. This will provide an excellent forum for collaboration, focusing on developing optimal solutions within the ASIMUT system. If you’re interested in participating, even if you’re not yet an ASIMUT client, let us know!
