The Syddansk Musikkonservatorium has joined our family and we could not be happier.
The Conservatory’s mission is to provide music education at the highest level to its ca. 260 students. Including the Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium in Esbjerg and Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium in Odense, the institution creates a great balance between innovation and tradition: classical music shares the stage with jazz , electronica and folk music; crossovers are encouraged.
The celebration cake was a traditional kagemand (cake man) – a danish pastry cake with chocolate glazing and marzipan topping. A kagemand is a Danish cake shaped like a boy or a girl and usually eaten at birthdays or anniversaries. Traditionally, the birthday party starts with the cake figure being decapitated or dismembered while all the children scream.
